The Originals have been singing lower-voiced a cappella at Carnegie Mellon University for nearly three decades. Since their founding in 1996, they’ve delivered fun, innovative, and entertaining performances ranging from national competitions like ICCA Finals, SoJam, VoiceJam, and BOSton Sings, to singing with icons like Ben Folds and Marvin Hamlisch. They’ve released three albums streaming everywhere (“Twenty Year Album”, “Void”, and “Blue Rose”), and stay tuned for their newest EP, “portrait”, coming this fall!
What does it mean to be an O? At its core, the O’s are a group of friends who love to sing together. We take pride in making lifelong memories and friendships, and growing together as musicians, to form a tight-knit family across all generations of our 100+ alumni.
